F.A.E.R.Y. Military Costume
The F.A.E.R.Y. project all started with a key idea: space fairies that derive their 'magical' abilities from a mix of alien tech and abilities attributed to their individual races.
At the heart of the design for the F.A.E.R.Ys is a Space Military Force.
The F.A.E.R.Ys were part of this force, until it was disbanded due to a lack of inter-planetary conflict.
I wanted to explore this Military design in-depth, because this is what was going to link the characters. The design elements of this suit resonate throught each character’s appearance, and blends together with their own personalities and abilities.
But the suit had to have its own personality outside each character. It needed to be unique and fairy-like, but still militaristic and high-tech.

Because of the style guide (Overwatch 2), the colour schemes for this project had to be very clean, bright and friendly. The story might change and vary later, but the demographic for this project is teen / young adult so appealing visuals were key here.
